On a bright day in March we remembered our friend, Pat Gaskin, on her birthday. Friends gathered to place in our memory garden a stone provided by Rebecca and Snow, where it joined stones for other Members who have moved on. We remember Pat as a staunch but very gentle proponent of ElderSpirit values, who had served twice as President of the Members Association, rounding out a very productive career. Here in the community she showed us joy and peace while seldom showing the struggles she overcame inside. Pat made sure that she enjoyed life, with friends and boyfriends old and new, traveling as long as she was able. She also showed us a good death, gracious and full of Grace until she left. I can hear her once again sing for us "Mockingbird Hill" in her sweet, high voice.
